My name is Nigel Kendrick, also known online as Linker3000 - an electronics / IT professional and STEM Ambassador, based in the UK.
Work
I have over 30 years of experience in IT Service Management and roles in Technical Delivery, Service Delivery, Information Security and Infrastructure.
My career path spans computer equipment retail, distribution, and technical sales, manufacturing, data centre operations, high capacity backups and storage, service desk leadership, team building, mentoring, and training.
I'm also a hands-on systems and networking engineer, with experience across AI (LLM and agentic), data centre operations, cloud computing (Linux and Windows), infrastructure, service management, incident and problem management, systems design, networking, and virtualisation.
I have worked for small businesses, local government, and global corporates. I have also worked on IT projects for central government.
My recent focus has been on technical delivery, digital development and integrations, IT service contract management, and governance within the education sector, across both universities and commercial organisations.

Hobbies
My main hobby is electronic engineering. You'll usually find me at the business end of a soldering iron, building something, fixing a TV, radio or vintage 8-bit computer, or coding and documenting a STEM project. I'm very proud to be a STEM Ambassador, a voluntary education role.
